New series for the New Year! This year I’m starting with a series of eight wild and whimsical paintings. The backgrounds feature a cute floral design, hidden under layers of whitewash with a confetti sprinkling of colors. The theme of these pieces is whimsical travel – bikes, hot air balloons, tigers, elephants, dragons, unicorns – everything is wild and everything is whimsical! I had a lot of fun creating this series and I hope you enjoy seeing them.
Prints available now in the shop! White framed originals available for a limited time!
Five local illustration artists – Greg Vineyard, Jake LaGory, Tami Boyce, Bart Castle and yours truly – will be showcasing their talent at the art opening January 12th from 5-8pm. The artwork will then remain on display for sale at the Hop through March 5th. The Hope will be donating 50% of ice cream sales on opening night to the YWCA. So come out and see some fun kid-friendly art, eat some delicious local ice cream and support local small businesses and the YWCA!
I am so excited for this show and have already started on some fun new pieces (below). These 6″x6″ Deep edge canvas paintings will be $35 at the Hop! Come get yours before they sell out! And if you want to request any special subject matter – ice cream, ghosts, panda bears, stars, etc. I’ll try to work those into the line up for the show! Until then I’m just getting doodle-happy with some paintbrushes 🙂
